Tizzy BIO
ONCE UPON A TIME......in a land called Massachusetts, in a kingdom called Northampton, there lived two girls and a boy. They had all been playing music since those awkward pre-teen years, planning to follow their dream of being in a band. Their dreams came true in the form of several separate bands. Though these bands had collectively toured the land (well....to Texas and back anyway), and played with the likes of Phranc, Love Child, Bikini Kill, Tsunami, and many others, fate had its' way, and the bands broke up. Ever relentless, these gals and guy managed to find each other, surviving the evil process of seeking like-minded musicians through flyers and other sordid measures. Finally, Tizzy was formed. They began playing with local and unlocal bands (Dambuilders, Magnapop, Kustomized, Tribe 8, Half-Japanese, etc.), and putting out records. Their music -- melodic, distorted, pop, and punk? Influences vary from Husker Du to the Velvet Underground. Determined to further their adventures they embarked on a self-booked tour, and a tour scheduled with a real, live booking agent, in a van that made really weird noises but did not break down until returning to Northampton. With their new CD weeks from release, Tizzy decided it was time to save the world from limp pop bands with no bang, that keep taking over impressionable young minds, turning them to N'Sync--flavored mush. Touring seemed to be the best way to complete this mission. The last chapter in this story begins with you receiving this package. You like the tape, Tizzy plays for you, and everybody lives happily ever after.
