BIO
On November 28, 2000, a woman purchased
a box of chicken wings at a
McDonald's franchise in Newport News, Virginia. While divvying up
the wings
for her hungry family of four at home she was astonished to find that one
"wing" was really a deep-fried and breaded chicken head, with eyes,
mouth,
beak and comb clearly identifiable.
CHICKEN MCHEAD are the musical equivalent of that
fried delicacy. We are
deep-fried and breaded, have a pointed beak, and are absolutely inedible.
Wait, that doesn't make any sense.
Okay, here it is!!
We mean CHICKEN MCHEAD is totally unexpected.
You reach into the box
expecting something good to eat, and instead find something totally
disgusting which makes you scream in horror.
No, that's not very good either, is it?
Ah, hell, the chicken head just makes an incredibly cool album cover.
CHICKEN MCHEAD have been compared to The Cramps,
The Dead Kennedys, Mojo Nixon, Gas Huffer, Mudhoney and Zacherley. Most of
these comparisons have
been made by Germans and Italians. We have yet to hear from the French.
CHICKEN MCHEAD is Keith Grave (bass), Josh Gunther
(keys, vox), Larry Howes
(guitar, vox), and Rob Pajer (drums, vox). You can contact Chicken McHead
(the band) by phone at (413)-786-4941, by email at either
chickenmchead1@aol.com or kgrave2000@hotmail.com,
or by snailmail at 11
Gargon Terrace, Southwick, MA 01077. We don't know how you can contact the
original CHICKEN MCHEAD. Just go to a
McDonald's where they're
test-marketing chicken wings, order up a bunch and see what you get!
